Stripper from HellBound Steel

"Do you have what it takes? We sold our souls so you don't have to, for the secret to building killer rides with earth shaking, gut wrentching, rip your arms off power. There's no other motorcycle like it. If you can hang on long enough, you'll see what we're talking about. If you can't hang, get out of our way."

Moonshine Express from Blue Star Choppers - Old School Choppers, Ft. Lauderdale

"This bike has been named "Moonshine Express". In the old days, smugglers used to run moonshine with bad-ass hot rod muscle cars. This bike was built to emmulate an old era muscle car. It has the attitude of an old muscle car! It is meant for the true biker. It wasn't built for those people that watch "American Chopper" and think getting paid $150,000 to build a bike for a TrimSpa diet pill is cool because dad and son "argue" in front of the camera! If you want to argue just give me a call and I will be more than happy to yell at you for free! OK enough of the BS...Here is the skinny on this ride!!"

Huri from ThreeTwoCoppers
"Innovation is a very basic concept. You either set the trends, or you follow them. Rarely is there room for interpretation of this most basic of concepts, especially when it comes to the motorcycle industry. You are either willing to take the risks associated in defining your own sense of style and design, setting yourself apart from the pack...or you become one of those guys you see hunting for his bike in a sea of thousands of other cookie-cutter bikes at ROT"

HARLEY-DAVIDSON UNVEILS DESIGN FOR MUSEUM DEVELOPMENT
"MILWAUKEE (February 24, 2006) - Harley-Davidson today unveiled designs for the Harley-Davidson Museum development on 20 acres at the corner of Sixth and Canal Streets near downtown Milwaukee. “The design plan for the Harley-Davidson Museum and its site incorporates striking urban design elements and engages the surrounding water and green spaces,” said Museum Director Stacey Watson. “It also unites the city center with the Menomonee Valley and reflects the industrial heritage of the area and of Harley-Davidson.”"

"That’s what I keep thinking as the four of us on the Ride Guide crew (see page 28) point our bikes up the interstate on-ramp, with more than 500 freeway miles ahead of us. See, I had thought this through. And when we divvied up the loaner bikes for our first travel day on the road from Pennsylvania to the North Carolina mountains, I made sure I claimed Harley-Davidson’s Street Glide first."

Harley-Davidson drag motorcycle cruises into Great Falls
By MARC STERGIONIS For the Tribune
"When Tom Cruise and his buddies in the film "Top Gun" cried out "I feel the need for speed!" they had F-14's to fulfill the rush. ... The Destroyer is "the first out-of-the-box drag motorcycle by any manufacturer," Morgan said. "The only thing we do is put on the wheels and wheelie bar," a rolling structure attached to the back of the bike that keeps the front wheel down during hard acceleration."

The Revolution of the Bobber Kulture
By Alex Mardikian Coming from Von Dutch

"A Rebellious Revolution historically manifested after the Depression in a resistance of early America, enhanced the way freedom is enjoyed today through the Kulture developed by the Bobber. Neither promises nor speeches, commanded by any elected official or representative could amend this revolution, opposing the expression of warfare and political conflict and setting the way for the future course of American defiance. Coming from: Cyril Huze

"Cyril’s a lucky guy: not only he makes a living doing what he loves the most, but from time to time, his work can beneficiate a great cause like raising money to find a cure to muscular dystrophy. The Lynn Jones foundation contacted him to build a bike in memory of Mattie Stepanek, the child poet whose message of peace & hope was spread around the world through his prime time TV appearances and several poetry books. The bike will be auctioned in September during the Jerry Lewis Telethon, with the proceeds going to the Mattie Fund. The funds will help MDA continue seeking additional treatments & cures for childhood neuromuscular diseases."

"Who never fell in love with a Truck Stop Girl? These lyrics from The Byrds inspired Cyril to build this new bike. “Taillight flickering as he pulled up to a truck stop. He was on a ten cities run, in love with a Truck Stop Girl. Her hair piled up high and she had a look in her eyes that would turn any good man’s blood to wine. He was so young and on a 10 cities run, just in love with a Truck Stop Girl”."

Bandit.com: Exile Bike By Brad

Coming from: Bikernet.com

" I interviewed Brad, the Exile employee who built this bike, and my mind was torn in a flurry of misdirected thoughts. I rode to Harold’s Bar and stumbled through the door into the dank biker saloon. “Sheila, I’m becalmed is a sea of treachery,” I slurred. “I need a pot of rum to fill my sails.” ... He handled all aspects of the build this bike including welding, but not the sheet metal fabrication. “Dylan is the master,” Brad said. With Russell’s input they powder coated all the sheet metal and the frame black chrome with a satin clear finish. It took him 50 hours to complete the bike working week days after work until midnight and half-days on Saturday. That Saturday afternoon it fired to life and so did Brad."

Custom Bike - 1937 Indian Chief

Coming from: American V UK

"The 'Speedy Burner' has been around as a customised bike for a long time, although not Tony's first Indian to be saved from a mundane life on the reservation, the bare bones of the 'Burner' were completely rebuilt in 1996 into a pretty close semblance of the latest `98 version, sans the Suzuki inverted front-end and a few other refinements. Probably more than anything else, it's the upside-down GSX-R1100 front fork of the latest reincarnation that gives the bike its avant guarde aspect of being slowly dragged headfirst from the 40s into the 90s. ... LUCKY SEVEN LOWRIDER

Coming from: insidebikes.com

" Words and pics by Alastair Walker

This sleek lowrider, named `Lucky Seven,’ was produced by Polar Cycles of Yorkshire for Kev Beardsley and is a fine example of a `from-the-ground-up’ custom motorcycle. ... As Stez - owner of Polar Cycles - explained over a brew, there are two basic approaches to custom biking; one is to tweak and personalise a stock metric cruiser, or Harley-Davidson, using a meaty parts catalogue, whilst the second option is to start with a blank beer mat down the pub one night and then try and finance the construction of something totally unique.

Lucky Seven started life as a modified Twin Cam 1450cc, Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, after Kev had a fair amount of work done to his motorcycle to make it look - and ride – differently; Ness Wide Glide forks, Zodiac rear end, RST wheels and brakes etc. "

Interactive Service Allows Enthusiasts to Rate and Review Their Favorite Roads

MILWAUKEE (February 20, 2006) - Harley-Davidson Motor Company announces its new Great Roads interactive web tool now live in the Experience section of www.harley-davidson.com. The Great Roads tool encourages riders to explore the country on their motorcycles, and enables enthusiasts to rate and review 20 of the nation's scenic byways. Riders have the capability to expand their motorcycle experiences with the aid of the Great Roads web tool by finding new routes and reading personal reviews from fellow enthusiasts who have ridden and rated the areas. Each Great Road listing includes types of scenery and road characteristics - whether the roads are twisty, or if the area is flat or mountainous. It also provides essential travel information for motorcyclists, such as whether there are adequate gas stops, how much traffic to expect and the best time of year to ride the route.

Maps of the Great Roads can be customized for a rider's individual needs using a convenient link to the Harley-Davidson Ride Planner. Great Roads included in the web tool also offer details on local Harley-Davidson dealers in that area, and several offer suggestions for lodging that can be booked through a travel specialist. The Great Roads web tool provides links to other enthusiast services including Authorized Rentals and Tours and Harley-Davidson Shipping. These services help riders overcome constraints such as time and weather to expand their riding and touring opportunities. To rate and review a Great Road, enthusiasts need to create a Harley-Davidson user profile at www.harley-davidson.com , and then link to Great Roads page under the Experience section.

For more information, visit Harley-Davidson's Web site at www.harley-davidson.com.

"As the first in Europe living bike builder, Marcus Walz, owner of WALZ HARDCORE CYCLES Germany, was choosed to be part of Discovery Channels successful TV-show "The great Biker Build-Off 5 ". Marcus is the first non American bike builder (with exception of Russ Mitchel who lives in California) who was invited to this show by the producer Hugh King himself.Marcus "rival" in this show will be Mike Prugh of Legend Air-Rides. As with the previous "Biker Build-Offs," each builder will be given two weeks to create a custom motorcycle, from the ground up. Although aesthetics are crucial to all the builds, the contest also requires the bikes to work; the builders must ride them as far as 1,000 miles to major bike events, where attendees vote for their favorite."

2006 Victory Kingpin Deluxe - MotorcycleUSA.com: "2006 Victory Kingpin Deluxe
2/13/2006
By Kevin Duke

'Yeah, I figured it would be a good idea to ride up to Canada for the weekend,' I said to the crew at Victory. 'So how about I take one of those Kingpins I enjoyed on our little ride here in Minnesota?'

And so it happened that I rode a Kingpin Deluxe to my family home up in Canada last fall - and nobody knew I was coming.

But that's just the back-story to what is an evaluation of a substantial, high-style cruiser that proves to be charismatic and surprisingly versatile."

Production begins today on the latest series of contests in which 26 fabricators will square off in 13 head-to-head competitions. By the time the final detail is applied to the last bikes, these trend-setting builders will have once again set the standard for what makes choppers cool. “In the six years since we started spotlighting chopper culture, we’ve seen how these bike legends as well as hot-shot newcomers connect with a huge, diverse audience,” says “Biker Build-Off” creator Thom Beers, CEO and Executive of Original Productions, and the man who first saw the television appeal of biker competitions. “With each series, we boost the excitement and celebrate the phenomenon even more. Season five will continue that tradition.”

If you have a dream motorcycle in mine, we can build it for you - we may have even created your dream and have it waiting for you! BUELL INTRODUCES XBRR PRODUCTION RACING MOTORCYCLE
Race-Use-Only Bike Brings Buell Full Circle

"Erik Buell and company come full circle with the introduction of the 2007 Buell XBRR, a limited-edition production racing motorcycle designed exclusively for closed course competition. A spiritual successor to Buell’s first motorcycle, the 1983 RW750, the XBRR is poised to change the face of privateer racing with a professional-level, race-ready, production-based platform featuring top-shelf racing technology and typical Buell innovation. “The XBRR combines the current culmination of Buell’s leading edge chassis technology and Harley-Davidson’s air-cooled V-Twin powertrain development in a platform designed by and developed for dedicated racers,” said Erik Buell, Chairman and Chief Technical Officer, Buell Motorcycle Company. For Erik Buell, the XBRR marks a return to his racing roots. As a successful privateer road racer early in his career, Buell eventually built his own race bikes for the AMA's then-premier Formula 1 class. The RW750 was a hand-built race bike, and it became the first official Buell motorcycle. Two were produced before the AMA discontinued the class after 1985. Buell then translated his race-bred design principles into a line of successful street bikes leading up to the current XB platform. The Buell XBRR features a modified XB Thunderstorm 1339cc (103.6mm bore x 79.4mm stroke) air/oil-cooled V-Twin motor rated at 150-hp (measured at the crankshaft). The engine is fed by a dual-downdraft 62mm throttle-body electronic fuel injection system and a ram-air intake system integrated with a new wind-tunnel developed carbon fiber fairing."

Riders want bikes built to fit their style. By Michael A. Brothers News-Leader

"When Mike Edwards is riding his motorcycle, he doesn't want to see another bike like his under someone else's torso. He wants his bike to be different. More than that, he wants it to be unique.Into motorcycles since age 18, the local Department of Energy employee decided a few years ago to have a bike custom-built to his taste and riding style. "So I could have a one-of-a-kind," he says. Edwards' bike, built by Guillotine Choppers in Lamar, isn't as outlandish as some of the custom jobs featured on the television shows and magazines that helped make these bikes so popular in recent years. But it is his own design, even if he didn't actually build it."

The seat also comes up high on your lower spine to give you the support you would need on the long trips. I started her up and noticed the deep rumble of the Vance and Hines Big Shots with the slash tips thundering across the parking lot. A little tame for my taste, but that would change with the quick removal of her restrictive baffles. I like to set car alarms off from a mile away!"
