Customized motorcycles, better known as choppers, have become big business and some Quebec companies are cashing in on the craze.
Mechanical engineers Michael Long and Benoit Marleau have forsaken manufacturing Ski-Doos and Sea-Doos for Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. to concentrate on their own business of building custom on-road and off-road vehicles - in particular, one-of-a-kind motorcycles.
Both men left their jobs at Bombardier in mid-October to work full time at
Zeel Design, which was founded by Long around the time both men first met at the Valcourt plant five years ago."
